Welcome to the web site of the Reading Mountaineering Club.
We are a large group of people (currently over 105 members) who are passionate about all aspects of mountaineering and crag activities, including climbing, walking, trekking and skiing. The range of interests and abilities is wide, with most people doing a mixture of walking, climbing and skiing depending on the weather and the season.

Outside the Whillans Hut in the Roaches, Peak District
The club has a large active membership with trips to crags, mountain areas and indoor walls taking place throughout the year. Longer range trips are also arranged amongst members (e.g. climbing or trekking trips to Nepal, Africa, Europe).
The club also has a lively social itinerary with cycle rides (road and off-road), 10-pin bowling and visits to local curry houses.
