Welcome to the web site of the Reading Mountaineering Club.
We are a large group of people (currently
over 105 members) who are passionate about
all aspects of mountaineering and crag activities,
including climbing, walking, trekking and
skiing. The range of interests and abilities
is wide, with most people doing a mixture
of walking, climbing and skiing depending
on the weather and the season. |
Next pub meet: 9pm Wednesday 18th July to arrange details for the camping trip to the Peaks (Jul 21st-22nd)
And the next few:
9pm Wed 18th Aug - for the camping trip to Cornwall (Aug 21st-22nd)
9pm Wed 15th Sep - for the camping trip to Yorkshire (Sep 18th-19th)
|
| The club has a large active membership with trips
to crags, mountain areas and indoor walls
taking place throughout the year. Longer
range trips are also arranged amongst members
(e.g. climbing or trekking trips to Nepal,
Africa, Europe).
The club also has a lively social itinerary
with cycle rides (road and off-road), 10-pin
bowling and visits to local curry houses.
